Subject: Life-Altering on a National Level
The segment starts with a piece that addresses not only the blood donations in places such as Denver, Colorado, but also the changes to the entertainment industry in Hollywood and the impact to schedules on national sporting events.

I also like the reference made by Peter Jennings from a guest earlier in the day that references the fact that such damage had not been done on US soil in a war since the Civil War.

The pictures from the Pentagon and Ground Zero during this clip (roughly around 8PM Eastern Time, or 10-11 hours after the attacks) are incredible in that they continue to show the substantial amount of smoke from both locations, numerous hours after the attacks (and in the darkness of night).

Claire Shipman notes the amount of anger that is being expressed on a number of levels throughout Washington DC as 9/11 was drawing to a close and the events of the day were being better understood and comprehended.
